Ally Cribb brings a real country and soft-pop sound to her new single “She’s Struck Gold.,” The song is based on the complicated emotions that sometimes follow a break-up, particularly when one partner is left wondering how the other got over it.
Music has always been something Toronto-based singer-songwriter Ally Cribb instinctively understood, a gift inherited from her father, who is himself a musician and writer. She treats songwriting as a way of processing the experiences that shape her life and whenever something significant happens, she turns to her piano or guitar, working through confusion, frustration and wonder until feelings become words and music.
Country-pop singer-songwriter Ally Cribb turns the exhaustion of a toxic relationship into quiet strength on her latest single, “Stand Back.” The song captures the moment you stop waiting for someone to become the person they keep promising they will be.
