Though still early in her career, Canadian singer Ally Cribb has already built an impressive foundation. Music runs deep in her family, passed down from her father, a musician and writer, which inspired her to start singing at just eight years old. From the beginning, she turned to music as both an outlet and a source of comfort, using her songs to process life’s defining moments. This early connection to songwriting shaped her style into something honest, unfiltered, and universally relatable.
Her journey began gaining traction in 2019 with a standout cover of Radiohead’s Creep, which earned over 200,000 YouTube views and showcased her ability to reinterpret a classic with her own artistry. She followed that success with her debut original single, Bigger, which has since surpassed 60,000 Spotify streams.
In 2024, Ally Cribb released her second EP, Now, a blend of pop and country storytelling marked by vulnerability and emotional depth. To celebrate its anniversary on August 1, 2025, she’s releasing acoustic versions of three fan favourites: Know Better, Not This Time, and Now.
The track was written when Ally Cribb was just 18 years old, and it perfectly reflects that stage of life, the intensity, uncertainty, and formative moments that come with the difficult transition into adulthood. It was a period she felt deserved to be captured in song and shared with others. In this acoustic version, the pace slows and the original’s weeping guitar is replaced by soft, steady strumming, giving the song a new layer of intimacy. What was already a melody overflowing with emotion becomes a deeply moving acoustic piece, one that is likely to strike right at the heart of anyone who listens.
